I completed my bachelors in Biotechnology at VIT University, Vellore, India and then pursued my masters in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University, Nijmegen. For my master’s thesis, I joined the Genzel Lab and spent a year investigating the effect of sleep on different spatial learning paradigms in humans. Having completed the masters, I did my PhD at the Genzel lab. Shifting to rodent models, I used electrophysiological, behavioral, and pharmacological techniques as well as fMRI to study the role of sleep in memory consolidation, by looking into the Hippocampal-PFC networks while engaging rodents in the Object Space Task and humans in a watermaze task.
After a sabbatical working with monkeys in Afrika, I returned to the Genzel lab for a short post-doc.
